| Jeff's Place - Memorial Day 2003 |
Tara, Matt, & I left Reimers (not a single picture) around 7pm on Sunday and didn't arrive at Jeff's until after dark. Drinking, Eating, Cliff Jumping, more drinking, and skinny dipping water follies ensued. I thank Jeff for having the foresight to buy this place before it was developed into oblivion and Marissa for bringing some pois to twirl in the dark. Rain thunder and lightning shut down some of the festivities and seemed to last from 2 or 3am until 5am or so - but I really have no idea of the time. The three of us were slightly wet, but mostly comfortable in my four person tent. It stayed cloudy in the morning, but at least it was mostly dry. After swimming and breakfast, Karl, Annette, Tara, Matt, and I went climbing. We warmed up on a boulder problem that Annette showed us, and Tara got a big finger flapper - which left plenty of blood on the route. Next, we did two routes. One was rated at 11c, the other at 12a but I really couldn't tell the difference - they were both do-able on a move by move basis, but still super pumpy. Wish I'd taken more pictures - Tara took most of these. |
